You know when in the story of Cinderella, after she puts on a beautiful dress she becomes another person? More confident, beautiful and so comfortable with her new status? Well, that almost never happens in real life, to normal people that have as a daily wear pants and flat shoes. That's why I wanted to talk to you about the "I don't go to the Oscars" syndrome. It's a name I invented for when women don't know how to dress on events (or in their every day life) because they have never walked in a room dressed really elegant and they simply don't know how to do it. So when the time comes when they have to put on a maxi dress or simply a skirt and high heels they feel super uncomfortable and totally not themselves. In the end they change back in their jeans.

A few nights ago I watched Diana Vreeland: The eye has to travel. You know how much I admire this woman, from my post about the Empress of Fashion: A life of Diana Vreeland book. But every time I read a new article or book and every time I see a new sequence with her, I get mesmerized yet again. This time these words got stuck into my head:
“I shall die young. I don't know whether it will be at 70, 80 or 90. But I shall die young.”
Now isn't that one of the most inspiring things you've ever heard?

A few weeks ago I worked with a great team to deliver these outdoor prints for Springtime, while they were promoting their new Spring Snacks. The main characters of the Campaign are the funniest duo in Romania: Buzdugan & Morar. The experience was really great: because, well, these two men made us laugh our brains out. And I know it was work- it was a lot of work - [we also shot in a field with the wind blowing into our heads] - but it definitely felt like it was more play than work. So next time when you are out, walk into Springtime and enjoy their new snacks - they also have good vegetable ones for the vegetarians out there - and have fun with Buzdugan & Morar who will be watching you from all the posters.
